Music Tracking and Mixing Rates

At Auralation Studios, we're all about helping you create the best possible recording experience for your project and budget. We offer flexible pricing options that are tailored to suit your project's needs. 
Tracking and mixing rates vary based on a few factors: 
  • Hours/Days booked (the more booked, the better the rate)
  • The engineer booked (different engineers have different rates)
  • The size of the group recording (single artists vs. a large jazz band)
  • The number of engineers and crew needed to accomodate the session
  • The difficulty/density of the set-up, tear down, mix requests, etc. 
  • Daytime vs off-hours and weekend bookings
The best way to determine a session rate is to do a consultation with us either in person, over zoom, over phone or email. 

Here is a general retail list of some recording prices. 

Retail Tracking and Mixing Rates

Single vocal over pre-produced track
(client provided)
$75-100 an hour
3 hour minimum.  Stems delivered.
1-4 person band tracking
$75-125 an hour
3 hour minimum. 
Tracking session delivered (Logic Pro, Pro Tools)
5+ person band tracking
$100-150 an hour
5 hour minimum
Tracking session delivered (Logic Pro, Pro Tools)
Demo/pre-production recordings
$75-100 an hour
3 hour minimum
Tracking session delivered (Logic Pro, Pro Tools)
Mixing$75-125 an hourConsultation needed to determine package rate. Final masters and stems only. 
Pre-approved student and educational rates are available. 

Payment Policies

  1. A 50% deposit is required unless otherwise arranged
  2. Payment is due at the end of the final session.
    1. For single sessions, cash or check should be given to engineer. Checks should be made out to Auralation Studios. 
    2. Invoices can be sent with prior arrangement. Invoices can be paid with check, Venmo or PayPal (via Stripe). 
  3. Final mixes, masters, session files and such will be sent when final payment is made unless otherwise arranged.
